New American with a foundation in southern italian cuisine

Park Bistro is in the Saint Streets area of Lafayette Louisiana and was founded by Chef Peter Cooke. Coming from New York City, Peter is excited to bring his elevated cuisine to the area. Park Bistro has indoor, outdoor and bar seating with a full beer, wine and cocktail program for you and your friends to enjoy.

About Park Bistro’s Owner

Peter Cooke enrolled at the French Culinary Institute in 2012. While in culinary school he interned at Chef Tom Coliccio’s craftbar and then went on to work there after graduation. At craftbar he learned what it was to work in Italian fine dining. After leaving craftbar, Peter worked at a variety of restaurants in both front and back of house positions. Then the opportunity to become an executive chef appeared. At the age of 25 Peter became the Executive Chef at Krupa Grocery, a bistro located in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. Over his 7 years at Krupa Grocery they achieved several accolades. His restaurant received a Michelin recommendation and articles from the Infatuation, Munchies, The New York Times, Eater, The New York Post and More. In early 2022 Peter moved from Brooklyn to Lafayette Louisiana with his wife Jessica and their young son.
